Help for Easter Egg Plant

I don't know anything about this plant. Neighbor wants me to help save it for her! She's had it for a good while she says. It's about a foot and a half to 2 feet now, but kind of limp with a few leaves. I know it needs repotting. Should it be put in full sun, or partial sun? Do I need to pinch off top leaves or anything so it will start getting "bushy"? Or is it supposed to be tall and "gangly"? I want to do my best for her and not kill it! Advice would surely be appreciated!
