Greetings,
I have a very large space with a chain link fence that really needs a vine to cover it up. The spot is under a canopy of trees. Parts are in the shade about 75% of the time. A few other parts get a bit more sun, maybe six hours at the most, but in no case is there full sun. I am in zone 10a. Would appreciate any suggestions. Of course I'd love to have something that would grow rapidly and have nice flowers. I don't want ivy, by the way. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi veeneck...here are some suggestions for you.

these grow well in partial shade, even if listed as full sun

this site is full of CA natives for dry shade, full shade and part shade. Some are vines, some shrubs that would cover your fence area.
