Dichondra- Does it harm other plants in flower beds?

Garland, TX

It's so cute; but it's taking over and I wonder if my flowers are being deprived of nutrients or being crowded out.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I would say yes to both questions. It can be very difficult to remove as it spreads by thin underground stems and even small pieces left behind can root and grow. If you really like it, plant it somewhere where nothing else will grow.
