My mandevilla has thread-like growths growing from the buds and axils. Are these part of the plant (I never noticed them before) or does it have a disease?

Mine seems to be doing the same thing. I can't see any creatures and there doesn't seem to be any damage anywhere. Lets hope its a natural thing for them.
Curious. Have you tried tugging gently on some to see if it's part of it or not?
