Happy dance for the last day of chemo! I hope you're home enjoying more chocolate. :)
Continued Support for Becky as she's Alabama bound
Devon - the introduction had me in hysterics!!!
Bec -- I know -- isn't it the funniest book? Plus, the recipes actually sound good - if you can get past the tawdry photography which I knew you'd appreciate!
Will have to look into that book.
Thank you all for cards and presents! I still can't get over the incredible support I have received from friends and family - from presents to too much chocolate! :)
Blasphemy!!! TOO much chocolate?? Never!! Heehee
You are more than welcome, dear lady.
Ditto to Jan!! Too much chocolate is an oxymoron
Amen, there is no such thing as too much chocolate!!
Love the author's name on that book... "Fowler". ;)
Glad the chemo hurdle is behind you. What a relief.
Glad to hear your doing well Bec. I live to close to Hershey. Can you smell the chocolate? Unfortunately the only thing we get a whiff of are the paper plants. :-{ Two things I wanted to taste when we were in Europe, their beers and their chocolate. I can forgive some of their beers, but I can't forget their chocolate. OMG at least we are now producing some good chocolate stateside. I absolutely love many of the dark chocolates now produced stateside. Around 60-70% cacao trips my trigger. Wish I could get some leaf for when I'm busy. LOL Seattle, had one of the best, but at the moment the name escapes me. Midnight "something". If I get to chose the way I go, I want death by chocolate. "Sweet things are made of these- Ric
"who am I to disagree"?
Just saw that movie "Chocolat" the other night so I'm loving this conversation! =) I REALLY want some of that hot chocolate that she makes, MAN it looks good!
DG rocks! I have already made some "DG gardening contacts" in Huntsville
Awesome!!!!!!
The total mayhem and madness has now started - house got listed a few hrs ago, no pictures - already getting calls for appointments, I'm hoping we'll get more than a few offers, that way I don't have to negotiate too much and go with highest and best offer :) The total PIA of keeping the house spotless is oh so not fun...I shouldn't complain, but no wonder hubby wanted to wait to list until he left!!!
Bec I'm sure it is plenty spotless!!! It'll be great and over before you know it. It's a gorgeous house.
Cheers!
-Paul
And then there are all those chocolate chip cookies that will have to be eaten after baking them for the best showing ambiance!
Are you selling it yourselves? It doesn't all happen like TV shows would have us believe. How is new kitty taking it all? Remember the Serenity Prayer and deep breaths and that we are here for you and looking forward to repopulating your new gardens in Alabama with our goodies and good cheer!
Nope, realtor is in charge of selling it and the quicker she does, the quicker I can pack up and head to 'Bama (well, reasonably so)
already getting calls for appointments- Very promising!!!
Bec, we have not been in touch before but Chantell is a DG fragrant friend of mine and that is how I found you. It has been a journey I am sure you will never forget but you will find as the years go by, it has made you smarter and stronger, mentally and physically. When my son was just 20 years old and at USC with a full schedule, we went through all of the things you have just completed, plus some extras and today he is a very happy, healthy person.
This journey with you has brought back many memories for me, and as you know some are not so good but in the end, the results are worth it. I want to wish you well and tell you I hope your move gives you much happiness. This old lady is here if you ever need a new plant ( no charge) or just want to chat.
God Bless. JB
Becky, that's very exciting! Wouldn't it be great if you had a contract this weekend?! :)
Awesome news about appointments already!!! Doing a happy dance
Thanks JB ^-^
Apparently I'm getting an offer in the AM - guy really, really liked the house, so did his realtor! :)
Wow that is moving fast.
Woot, woot!!
JB - very kind words...thank you. Your Christmas cactus is one of the plants Bec said she's definitely taking south with her!!
Glad to hear that the Lord is blessing with what sounds like a very fast turnaround on your house, may your new home bring nothing but good health, laughs until your ribs hurt and a garden of friends and beautiful plants.
Jan
If she needs more you know where she can get them. ☺
Nearly time to do happy-dance...we have a contract :) will be happy once it's agreed to and ratified tomorrow morning :) Not bad, 4 days on market and 2 very, very good offers :)

Wow. That is great news. Cheers to that!
wowzers Bec that is super fabtasticc
Ditto!!!
I'll try to hold off on the happy dance for the paperwork to be signed, but a foot is trying to tap, tap, tappity tap. Hope it calms down for bedtime. Such great news!!!!
If I do a happy dance it may take all the energy I have saved to start to ship plants, so I will just say GREAT GOING..........hope the buyer can get the money and all turns out well. Hugs.
What perfect timing! Congrats on the almost-sale!
Bec--
Wish I could send a 6-pack of Alabama Sunset Coleus along with you. Will a picture do?
They are growing so well under my lights. I am ready for the second pinching of the cuttings.
The are now 10" tall--again---and so lush! I can't believe it!!! Must have had some slow-release
fertilizer in the soil...
Great news on your house being sold so soon. You must have done a great job "staging" it.
Best wishes to you and Greg as you head South! Gita
LOVELY colors!! Yes, they would look great in new garden...I'm curious to read the HOA/CCr's to see exactly how much gardening I can get away with - I would LOVE to get some fruit and berries in the backyard - maybe a greenhouse!!! :)
CC update - just came back from post treatment scans - will know CT results on Monday, blood work is perfect and mammo was clean :)
Thank you Lord!
