I will wintersow all but the Red Shredded Hige MGs.
Seeds 2013 Whatcha growing??
I think it was 2006 like me Sherrie. No green house this year because your working?
Yesterday I planted from seed....
30 Larkspur Giant Imperial Mix
30 snapdragons ~ Tetra Mix, Appleblossom, and Giant Scarlet Red
15 lupines
12 peachy-pink hollyhocks
12 maroon HH
6 Gailliarda Arizona Apricot
5 Agastache Purple Pygmy
A MESS of Alyssum in red, white & blue
Then the mail came and in it were 39 plugs of TORENIA that needed to be transplanted.
wish those tall snaps would grow well here.. they usually flop with the lack of sun
:(
I'm hoping the Gailliarda Arizona Apricot grows OK, I only had 5 or 6 seeds. :(
nah.. I am sure we can find more seeds
Pixie, you are so ambitious....I'm sticking with the 7 flats in the basement....still looking good, will have to start transplanting soon.....Sherrie, you need to start some tomatoes!
How do you accommodate all the transplanted seedlings? Do you save some space under lights for these?
planted all the indoor start veggies in the past 2 weeks - t's, peppers, eggplant, basil, parsley, leeks. So far only the leeks and a couple basil have sprouted. Realized a couple heating pads where no kaput so these may take another week or so to start. I hate the wait.
received petunia seed yesterday and will hold off a couple weeks before starting those. need to free up some space.
rose i have extra room for after transplant. can hold a total of 12 flat's if needed. it is a triple decker set up and only one level has seeds.
The pea seeds sprouted in the paper towel so now I have to transfer them to a pot.
I'll do another round of them, they say to stagger pea planting
that is too cool
first eggplant seed germinated :)
Bill, this is the first year that I didn't fill EVERY shelf with flats!! It took me a while to give in to the fact that I would need some shelf space for the re potted plants. At first I looked at all the empty space as wasted, but now they are being filled with all the seedlings too big to remain in flats. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
Pixie, that is an awesome photo......
I see my agastache & salvia seeds are waking up!!!
what size pot do you guys transplant up to? I started some imaptiens in small round tins and I think it's time to pot them up...
a six pack or small container will do Ronnie. they don't get crazy roots for a while
Same here Ronnie.
Exciting Allison!
getting warm upstairs with more and more lights going on.. going to have to crack a window soon
Thanks I didn't want to go to big.
Looks like a project! I cleaned the house....may transplant in a few days....
