Had steak & cheese subs
Comfort food
Will be at the farm babysitting today....my son will leave a note for me to make whatever he's thawed out.....
Put a dry rub on a rack of baby back ribs and let them sit for 3 hours. I then covered in tin foil and slow cooked them @ 275 for 3 hours. Fell apart with a fork. :) We had steamed asparagus, dinner rolls and garlic red skinned mashed taters.
The girls have been asking for ham and cabbage again, funny to see kids eating cabbage.
I'm hungry.
Those ribs sound heavenly.....I brought a Bertucci's meatball & mushroom pizza over to Mom...she's not supposed to have white anything, but I only gave her a small amount of thin crust....made sure she ate the topping...
home made mac & cheese.. needed that
Lasagna with ricotta, carrots, spinach, cream of broccoli soup for the sauce topped with a shredded 5 cheese blend. Fresh baked rolls.
ham, mashed potatos and lima beans.
We have gotten about 8 meals worth of food. Large casseroles. Many went in to the freezer, cuz we can't eat it that fast!!! LOL!!!Bless the parents and staff at my grandkids school.
always so thoughtful
That was very nice of them.....made pasta fagione....
beef stew that made me do the happy dance
LOL....must have been delish....
it was.. I really have to start measuring when I am adding ingredients .. not sure I can do it again.. LOL
Don't you just love that?
Way my Mom cooked all her life.....I take after her, which is why I'm a terrible baker.....I tend to change recipes as I go....
Mixed Mushroom Casserole with Cambazola cheese (Chowhound recipe)
I don't eat fast food much but had a roast beef sandwich from Arbby's last night. Not bad but not as good as I remebered them being!
Don, I'm not familiar with that cheese....mild or sharp? Ronnie, I agree about the Arby's...I remember them as juicier. Today made Greek chicken....lemon, capers, olives....to take to Mom's.....
Robin:
Cambazola is a German cow cheese which is a combination of a triple-cream Camembert-like cheese with Italian Gorgonzola. I have seen it described as "the blue cheese for people who don't like blue cheese" and it is sometimes sold as "blue brie". It has a very smooth creamy texture with blue-green veins. I saw it in Stop&Shop for $17/lb, but I get mine from a cheese store that imports the patented original for a couple of bucks more. Also excellent for snacking on crackers.
I'm not a blue cheese fan, but maybe I would like this one....very pricey, though! Dinner is a baked potato with chili & cheese, and a salad.
shrimp scampi
I love blue cheese
dislike on the blue cheese...we used to make a buffalo chicken pizza when we had the shop...hot blue cheese ewwwww!!
Salad tonight, not hungry and girls went home early so no cooking. Chocolate cake for later
rib eye on the grill ^_^ baked tater...loaded and a caesar salad
I am not a blue cheese lover either.. I don't understand why you would buy a hot wing & put the fire out with cheese
beef burgudny with the left over beef roast.
Had to improvise tonight and it worked out. Hot turkey sausage with garlic and onion, a little red wine, black beans and, at the end, frozen peas. Nice balance of tastes. Peas just a few minutes so they do not get mushy.
Interesting
I bought hot turkey sausage for tomorrow
hate mushy peas.. well most veggies actually .. unless in soup
First trip to Whole Foods, I was in Organic heaven
bought grass fed beef flank steak...put some Carolina rub on it and grilled it...YUM!!!! sauteed green beans with garlic and romano cheese and baked potato
Look how cute>>>>>> my step mil's niece has her own cupcake making business, these were for her niece's 2nd b-day
Wow....sugar rush, but very cute...my GKs would love them.....Going out to lunch with a friend....weather is depressing us!
they are cute Jen.. hope they were yummy
Made a cross between chili and black bean and meat tacos, I had mine served over rice, it was yummy!
yum
Spaghetti and meatballs...overcooked the spags, glad I had rigatoni for backup.
so easy to do .. I always try and use my timer .. easy for me to get off track and over cook it .. have to make some meatballs now.. believe it or not I miss my Dads.. not sure if he would cook anymore but he used to make some rockin meatballs
I should have....knew I was going to forget
and it was angel hair so it cooked real fast. The dogs enjoyed it!
baked cajun seasoned haddock, pasta with olive oil and herbs, baby carrots, dinner rolls and brownies for a snack. :)
