Jalopeno, pepperoni, garlic herb and cinnamon raisin breads all sound nice. I can imagine the wonderful aromas as the oven opens.

DW tried to make King Arthur's baguettes for the first time a few days ago, but something went wrong and they came out hard as a rock. Oh well, she made spaghetti with clam sauce last night (another first) and it was great. You win some and lose some.

I made pasta today....needed some real food after living on sandwiches for the past few days.....

oven fried chicken tonight. cajun tomorrow at church for fat tuesday.

Last night we had lasgna, salad and ciabatta rolls sliced in half and toasted with garlic & cheese. Tonight it will be Applebee's because I have to be in town late.

Went out to lunch and had 1/2 blt and soup...1st choice was potato leek...tasted like mildew...EWWWWW sent that back and got chicken noodle...that was good

Made bison meatloaf with bacon and onions, baked taters and fresh asparagus. YUM!!!

Bison meatloaf sounds great, but asparagus addition has me buffaloed! (sorry, couldn't resist)

I don't have anything against asparagus, but think I would prefer to enjoy its taste separately.

Oops, the sparegrass was a side. Sorry for the confusion! Heehee. For breakfast/lunch I just toasted a Portuguese roll with some leftover meatloaf. I LOVE meatloaf sandwiches!!! I am good now til dinner.

I bought a rotisserie chicken for Mom, so I ate a leg & a few crackers for lunch.....

Jan do you think the bison taste gamey? I made bison burgers once and didn't like them at all.

Weird dinner tonight, girls had chicken nuggets and brocc and green beans, I had salad with a few nuggets tossed in and Lou had a chicken wrap and soup.

Olive Garden and it was very good but..... I was seated on the other side of a booth with a large and in charge kinda lady on the phone. To say the least I didn't finish my meal, had it packed up and brought it home.

My turn at the wok. Stirfry garlic chicken with mushrooms, pepper, water chestnuts, etc...accompanied by tadig (crusty Persian) rice.

Didn't notice any gaminess in the bison meat. Thinking the bacon and onion took care of any of that. LOL. It was on sale which is why I picked it up in the first place.

Steamed some cauliflower along with leftovers and a salad.

I use bison all the time, never noticed a gamey taste

Sounds yummy....I made a meatloaf & mashed potatoes for my son & family....I ate leftovers when I got home....oh, well.

Made stuffed shells to take to the farm to celebrate granddaughter & great-niece's birthdays....

I went to Aldi yesterday .. always good to look around to see what they have fresh.. had strawberries from Florida.. they called me over.. I smelled them and it smelled like summer... had to give it a shot.. OMG they are so good.. inspired me to make strawberry waffles for brunch today... was eating and dancing they were so good

Good to hear - we are getting an Aldi in a few months. Is it like other supermarkets?

I don't care for it, it's like a small warehouse, and only 1-2 cashiers here, so you wait in line a long time. Once I left my cart full of stuff and went to Wegmans instead. And they had to recall frozen beef products d/t the % of horse meat in it.
