Nothing more precious to family members, than a gift that was made by the giver!! The older they get, the more they'll cherish it.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Love that!!!!

Thomaston, CT

Thanks.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I love it too! A really special gift Marilyn!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Adorable, Marilyn! That will be a treasure!

Well, we finally met with a trusted realtor team today and we were happy to hear from them that our house should sell for quite a bit more than we had estimated. Houses in our riverfront neighborhood are selling very quickly, as there is very little inventory right now, and lots of people want to be near the river. Bittersweet for us to leave it, but we have already crossed that bridge and we are happy with the game plan to convert from residents to winter visitors. It will go public next Wednesday so we can take some time to tell our good friends before they rudely see a sign out front. I guess our journey just took a turn for home. Tomorrow we are going to a favorite garden center. Fun!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

not a happy camper today - sent the PC off to be restored and cleaned up - had downloaded all our personal stuff, so all I asked them to do was save my favorites and outlook/email. No favorites and no freaking email which is a real problem, all addresses are now lost.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's maddening, Bill. Use Carbonite!!

I'm also pissed - my iPad crapped out yesterday during an update. Won't even restore with iTunes. Have to schlep to the Apple store at the mall.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Krapppp Bill!!
They owe you nothing for the mess they made.

RIP Ed Koch. Loved him. Larger than life character. Ultimate NYer. He came to Manhattan College in my Freshman year. It was his first reelection. He was a rock star! Brought the city back from near death. Ended the stranglehold of the unions.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great line in NYT obit - Koch survived by New York itself. How true.

I'd be major league ticked, Bill
Maybe they have all the info hidden somewhere ????

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Ronnie & Louise.....I know selling that home will be emotional for you, Louise....but you have a new condo to look forward to, planning a new garden! Bill & Victor.....I hate technology! Of course, I'd be lost without my computer.....

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

I'd like to second Victor's recommendation for Carbonite. After the initial set up it takes absolutely zero work to keep all your files backed up. I even used it to transfer data from my old computer to a new one without having to do much more than clicking a few buttons. Full disclosure though: it took Carbonite several days to transfer everything over but it wasn't so bad because I could still use my computer while it was doing that.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh Man, Bill! Not good! Do they offer to do anything to make good? Sorry to hear that. I'll dmail you our home addresses. Ugh!

You are very right, Marilyn.....and I started getting in practice toay at our fav garden store. They always have lots of unusual cultivars, so I picked up a box top and gave myself permission to buy just enough to fill the lid. On my way to pay, I saw a cool trailing rosemary, so I rationalized that just one more wasn't bad for me! I told the checkout clerk that I had exceeded my limit, and she took it on herself to fit them all in the lid. 😁. I'll take a shot once I add them to my current garden and use my laptop to post it.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

well i called the place and they still had my information - glad they did - now wondering how long they keep it? really do not have enough saved for carbonite maybe in a few more years if i go picture crazy.

Thomaston, CT

Oh, good Bill...hope you get your info back...Louise, trailing rosemary sounds lovely.....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes I want to see this trailing rosemary, sounds nice!
Bill I'm glad they have your info, but why were they keeping it ?? That would PMO to be honest!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Me too! Hmmmmmmm. I'm going to plant the trailing rosemary in a pot with other pretties and let it trail over the side. Of course I'll bring it back with me....along with a rose and my bright orange Gerbera daisy, and.......you get the picture!😁

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I was in love and would move heaven and earth to have the trailing Rosemary.
I dont mean to throw cold water on the plant but its only hardy from Z8-10

East Bridgewater, MA

I'm glad the stories of plant purchases, even minor ones, are trickling in; Spring is going to arrive, eventually !
