Weather In Your Garden # 126

Very raw on my morning walk....temp was 20, but it felt colder without the sun......snow, changing to freezing rain....a mess for today!

snowing currently at 6pm supposed to switch over to all rain

27° overcast. Snowy mix to start this afternoon.

Snowing very hard right now, temp at 25....supposed to change over to freezing rain by 3......not going anywhere today....

Gray and about 22. No snow yet, but looks like we might get some.

DH is up skiing with his nephew. he just called and said the conditions are great at Stratton. I feel sorry for the poor kid as I am afraid my DH will run him into the ground. The nephew hasn't been on a mountain in a couple of years and my DH is a pretty amazing skier. He learned young when skiing every good weekend up in New Hampshire and also skied with a real pro in Switzerland over many years at Xmas time. He skis wedeln style like he learned as a kid which is now out of date, but he sure looks pretty zipping down the mountain doing a zillion quick turns. And because he plays hockey year round and does all the garden work, he is in great shape. So I am thinking that nephew who is a website designer and plays in a rock band in Boston will be pooped very quickly. Though he has a two year old to chase around so maybe he will survive the day. snow stopped and it's raining

I heard that despite what seems like a cold January, it is statistically has been still warmer than average. Not sure if I would want snow or rain. Patti

22 and snowing now here too. Just went for a walk with the dogs. They so love it. Patti

Glad your DH got some good skiing in, Patti.....my son & his family are headed to Smuggler's Notch in 2 weeks....it's now raining...don't know if it's freezing or not, but I shoveled about 21/2" of heavy snow off the walk, & made a path in the drive to get the garbage out....don't want to take off too much snow, or it will be an ice rink out there......

snowing here, very thin flakes rather than the big fluffy type.

DH called and because of a bad accident on rt 30 he has been detoured completely in the wrong direction. I am sure he has driven an hour out of the way and he is still not home. I will be curious to see where he went to get home. Worse for the Nephew who has to drive back to Boston. But he said skiing was great. I made a couple of batches of Mac and cheese so dinner can be eaten anytime. Patti

A bit over an inch of icy snow here. Should start melting tomorrow. 23° now at 11:15 pm.

37 now going to 45

12 , freezing rain until tomorrow morning. :(
