that's one nice thing about a small dog.. a few mins of ball throwing.. they are exhausted.. well not Eros.. but all the others

My broken hip was courtesy of my son's 10 month old puppy....he was about 80 pounds at the time.....poor Suey will not be getting her walks for a few days!

I know what you mean about running into you. I had to teach Bear not to do that and now he runs around me. I just took him for a walk. Fortunately I don't have to walk him on a leash. He's been bugging me for a walk for all day, so I dressed warm and took him out back to the woods. Once he's sure I'm going that way he's gone. He runs to the end of the road(private path) and then turns around to see if I'm coming, waiting until I catch up then he's off again. It's not that he just wants to go for a walk, he can do that on his own if he wants, he wants to go for a walk with me.

That is sweet.

Thomaston, CT

He's one handsome guy!

Graham, NC(Zone 7b)

That is awesome!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

cute

South Hamilton, MA

Does he over estimate where you wish to walk?

Durhamville, NY(Zone 5b)

Yes he can. He doesn't mind bounding through snow up to his belly. When it's that deep I won't wade through it unless I have to. A couple of times the neighbors beagle has come with us. he'll find a log or something to cross a little stream or wet spot, Bear just slashes through. When it';s nice out I try to take him on a mile or so walk everyday. One day we managed to do three in a couple of pieces and he was ready to do more.

Bear is great! I love when they watch to see where you are.

Bear and Cliffie would be great friends. Cliffie is swimming in the snow when he goes out. His feet only sometimes touch the ground so he can dive into the next patch of snow. Here he is during the blizzard last night.

Awesome shots Rosemary!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool. Love the last one.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks. Had to stay up late to have these shots.

The dog and people guys are all tired out now and the snow isn't sticking on his coat as much anymore. But, the deck lights will give us a "snow borealis" view again like the last pic once it's dark.

Cliffie is a winner!

Durhamville, NY(Zone 5b)

Cliffie is a good looking dog, I bet he's fun too. I can see him and Bear just having a ball out in the snow. The great thing about the hair on a dog is that it can be covered with ice and snow on the outside but if you wiggle you fingers into it, it's dry .

Thanks for the praise for our "Wonderdog." Some labradoodles don't have the lab's undercoat. In fact, breeders consider it a fault. But, it means he can handle any weather. Unfortunately there were no kids to romp with him in the snow this weekend.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

too funny.. love the shots

Graham, NC(Zone 7b)

Love the Cliffie pic's. Mine likes to plow the snow with his face and eat it in big gulps. Aren't they great!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thomaston, CT

Yep....she would have been a good Mom....spent all her time next to Garret's crib when he was an infant.....

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Salem hung up on my Mom for the second time. cat walked across the phone and the hang up botton!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

South Hamilton, MA

Actually I was not aware of his little tricks because of the phone rang & came back on at J-2's house. He is a small cat to cause that much trouble.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

this morning he decided to clear off the end table. apperantly everything was in his way and needed to be on the floor.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

De-cluttering for you! Did you say thank you? *snicker*

Thomaston, CT

My niece's Coon cat would do that when I came to stay at her house.....swept all my small belongings....like car keys....right into the wastebasket!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I let my Maine Coon out in the snow and at first he ran away from me. After a few minutes, he changed his mind and decided to come in. LOL!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Same thing with Romeo....he THOUGHT he wanted out, until that WHITE STUFF touched his paws. :)

Durhamville, NY(Zone 5b)

When it's real cold out Midnight will stick his head out a little, sniff the air and turn around and leave as if to say' "I'm not going out there what are? nuts"

Thomaston, CT

Suey is snowaphobic!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I saw a payloader going down the street just about dark. Maybe it will be back tomorrow? The street is at least one lane wide now thanks to my neighbor and others with plows. Main street is on the city's list of cleared streets but one neighbor said it is faster to walk than drive on it. I am taking tomorrow off work and then going back on Thursday. I am very happy to say that I have shoveled a whole lot of snow and still can walk completely upright with the help of a couple of aspirins!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

something is wrong with Jily.. walking all curled up.. ate her breakfast.. not sure if she hurt her leg or what???.. going to keep an eye on her

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hope she's OK

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Sounds like pain...maybe a UTI? Good luck, keep us posted.
