I bought Oxalis triangularis bulbs for planting on a north facing porch in large planters. When should they be planted? Will the winter in my zone 8b ruin them if I plant them now? We usually get a few freezing temps during the winter but not generally for extended amounts of time. If I need to wait to plant them until spring, how should I store them? Thank you in advance for your advice.
Oxalis triangularis bulbs care and planting
This is an extremely forgiving plant. It is hardy to zone 6 outside and grows well inside also. I have it in a few places around the yard and it comes back year after year...with minimal care or attention.

I am in 8b/9a and oxalis will overwinter just fine. Now is fine for planting but don't give them much, if any, water this winter as you don't want them to rot. They will come back when the weather gets warmer and then you can water them regularly. They will need plenty of shade in Texas.
