I started here 5 days ago and I made my first wormbox!!! :) I'm pretty sure most of what I dug up is the Redworms. I will check later before putting them on the box. Meanwhile they are happily munching on some greenery.:) Where can I find pictures here about Redworms? Thanks! :)
Newbie too! :) I just jumped in!!!:D
Welcome! Use the search box at the top right corner of this page!
Welcome. If you haven't found it yet there is a forum for vermicomposting which is worm raising. It's near the end of the general gardening groups.
Thank you Bunny! Thank you Doug! I'm loose in a candy shop!! :D but more for me a yarn and needle work shop!! ;)
A little fodder for you on vermicomposting. Here we are fortunate to have relatively warm winters, so ours is a bottomless bin....we added some green and brown garden detritus to the bin just sitting on top of the soil and some veggie peels and scraps....within just a few days the worms found us...it has been going for about 10 years and produces nice soil and exceptionally fat worms...grin
