hi
i live in at north end of zone 7 on a north facing slope (almost zone 6 at least in terms of fall/spring soil temps.)
I have several dozen asparagus seedlings in 4" soil blocks in an unheated greenhouse. the plants are 10" tall. I am trying to figure out if I can set these out (mid-november) or leave them in the greenhouse and hope they go dormant for spring planting. I can put row cover over them if planted to minimize any shock they might get from temp change.
I have read that peruvian asparagus growers induce dormancy by cutting irrigation but letting seedlings dry out like that seems risky.
thanks
