AFTER 35 YEARS OF NO PROBLEMS THIS YEAR THE LAWN HAS 2" HOLES IN IT USUALLY MADE BY SQUIRRELS BUT IN ADDITION THERE ARE PATCHES OF LAWN REMOVED LIKE TOUPEES. ARE SQUIRRELS DOING THIS OR SOME OTHER CRITTER. I ONLY NOTICE THE USUAL SQUIRRELS. ARE GRUBS WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR?
LAWN PROBLEMS
Can you post some pictures?
We have talked a bit about holes in the lawn on the Mid Atlantic.
I believe Holly and Ric had this issue.
The consensus seemed to be that skunks were digging for the grubs. 2" is a big hole....
Squirrels just dig anywhere--and the "holes" are very shallow. They are just looking for non-existent nuts and acorns.
