Question on transplanting

Hello,

I have a Cayenne pepper plant that I no longer want but someone else does. The plant is over 6 months old and it looks great with many peppers on it. Is it possible to transplant it when its this old and established? If it is possible any tips?

Sure why not. The biggest problem transplanted plants suffer from is dehydration because the root system is damaged in the move.

Take as big a ball of soil that you can. Keep the plant shaded for awhile. It might also help to remove as much as half the leaves to prevent it from drying out. I'd have to think about the fruit, but I'd be tempted to pick that also.

My best time to do transplants & cuttings is just after a rain or during a drizzle. The ground is wet, & you don't have to water after planting. Also, the sun is usually not shining. A cloudy day, is the best.

Next time, you might also water in the roots with a vit b1 solution as directed on the label. It seems to help reduce transplant shock
