I'm having trouble identifying a tree, I recently purchased a home and in the backyard is a tree that resembles a weeping willow but I am not sure if that is right. If anyone can help I would be forever grateful.
Hi, can anyone help me?
It's a weeping caragana, Caragana arborescens 'Pendula'. These are often put on a high graft, as yours is.
Edit: I should add that the root stock (that is, the tall trunk that the weeping shrub is grafted onto) is a regular Caragana arborescens.

Thank you so much, I was worried when it appeared to be turning yellow and sickly. Knowing the name helped me look up the care and maintence.
Not to question your ID, Alta, but the leaves look very different than the Caragana arborescens 'Pendula' I'm seeing online. Is there a reason for this? Just curious...
Good point, Kwanjin.
The top growth is not 'Pendula' but instead is Caragana arborescens 'Walker'.
My mistake.
Whew! I thought I was seeing things. I usually don't hallucinate until later in the day. ^_^
