My succulent is turning brown...any idea why? And I am 70 percent sure it is part of the Crassula family...do any of you know if that is true? And, I have a gnat problem...I know they can be harmful to succulents. Neem Oil...is it safe for them? Thank you!!!!
Help!
Looks like over-watering or a chill injury. If you can eliminate exposure to very low temps or exposure to sudden drops in temps, look to a combination of soil choice and watering habits as the odds on favorite as being causal. The sticky thread at the top of this forum might be helpful.

The gnats are also a sign of too much water so I agree that's likely at least part of the problem (and the overwatering will be worse for your plant than the gnats). Also--does your pot have a drainage hole? If not, you need to get it into a pot with drainage holes ASAP.
Thanks!
