Can i prune a Peace Lily?

My Peace Lily has gotten very bushy now. It's getting wide, like to the sides. Can I prune it to make it be taller instead of wider?

You can prune it, but not with the expectation you'll achieve that end. You might want to consider dividing it, come June.

I agree with Al, I would divide it in spring also, they arent meant to be pruned as far as I know.
