The bed is going to be 16"x3'x32' against a chainlink fence and I'll only have access from one side -- .16" tall & 3' wide means things are going to be easier for me to reach. 32' because that's the space in sunlight most of the day.
Is there any advantage/disadvantage to one long bed vs. smaller beds as far as the vegetables are concerned?
Raised vegetable bed ? about size
I don't see any advantage/disadvantage as long as you can reach across the bed

That's what I was hoping. I always hear 4x4. And couldn't figure out why.
The 4x4 is for square foot gardens with the idea that you can reach in from all 4 sides. I have 80 feet of raised bed along a chain link fence that is only 24" wide. No problems.
