I am going to get wood chips from my local arborist.
Are there any types of tree or plants that should NOT be in the wood chip mix? I am will be using the mulch around a very large area of Helleborus argutifolius. I will apply Nitrogen to make up for the breakdown of the mulch.
Eucalyptus and typical invasive plants like Bamboo roots, Blackberry will be on the not to included list, but any others and why?
Thank you in advance.
Wood Chip Mulch Options
Sounds good, trying to remember the trees an arborist might have access to there in SF- oaks contain tannic acids that need aged before using, and break down slowly, but that is the only one that comes to mind. Pine is used a great deal...
