"Browse" button missing

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Terry. Have a great day. You are the best1. I ain't going anywhere any time soon.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Lily love? Are your programs all updated? Mine had a bunch I had to manually update today, and my Norton clears cookies and doesn't bother my links at all! I am Not familiar with Macs- been awhile since we had an Apple too- 1980? Chuckl, glad they've improved!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

kittriana, updated? lol all of them maybe as obsolite as I am old. lol I even switched from my previous browser, which I thought was Chrome, but it was IE to M. FFox and still no result. :((

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Kim - try going to your local library and logging in to DG there, then check for browse or choose file.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Arlene, it's so frustrating. The local library is quite a distance away. :((

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

She means that your issue might be your dialup- try somewhere faster- do you have a laptop? it would be difficult to lug a desk puter into town, chuckl, but, with this laptop I am now I dont have the button either-and couldnt update Java because of a corrupted file, so wasnt overly surprised about that. My other laptop behaves like a charm...

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Even logging onto DG, on a friend or neighbor's computer, might show you browse or choose file. Make sure you log off.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

ok, I'll try to do that with my DH's laptop. :) Thanks Arlene and Kit.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Let us know if it worked, please.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

So, it's indeed my PC's compatibility.... The question remains; how do I go about fixing it?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Hurray! Maybe the Computer Talk forum could help you since it is Sunday.

My browse button is missing too. I cleaned out my cache and cookies and still no button. I am using an older version of IE so I tried on AOL, same thing.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I've tried various methods, I'm pretty tired of battling this. I may want a refund and move on to other interests. I'll miss all my gardening friends. But it seems like my days here is numbered!

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I know this can be frustrating, but it is important to keep your browser updated. For those of you on IE6, it is not supported by Microsoft (and hasn't been since 2011.) It has many bugs and security issues, so there are many good reasons to update if at all possible. Browser updates are free and you can install multiple browsers so you have more than one "at the ready" on your computer; . Per our tech team, DG is optimized for supported versions of IE, Chrome and Firefox.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I've IE9, I even tried Fire Fox.... I exhausted my ability to hang on. I may just give it up all together.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Your outer may be simply too old to run these massively huge programs now, tho I don't know how old ur machine is...

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

my pc is not older than 2 years old! If playing on DG is costly. I need to move on.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Hon, I was guessing! I have no clue why it is treating you that way! I have enuff trubles with the ones I have! Use the links they gave you and see what comes of it! My normal computer runs an 18 wheeler and electronic elog chastity belt! And I DO wish you luck resolving your problems!

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

Lily I have no real ideas either. I run IE9 and Google Chrome on an older PC and I have no problems. At this point the only thing that I can think of is that you have an incompatible program running in the background.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Lily_love, have you checked to see if your IE9 is set to compatability view or not?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Terry, I checked the setting. No compatibility view found anywhere.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Good morning to everyone. Just drop in to say my uploading issue is resolved. June I hope you and those that are having problem will be smoothed out soon. Thanks to those that tried to help me resolving this matter.

Happy gardening, and DGing everyone ^_^

^_^ this morning.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have the button but am not able to use the ctrl button to post more than 1 pic

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Lily how did you resolve it and can you post more than one pic at a time?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

On my screen. I see only "Upload Images to your reply" No so- called button as it was on "Browse" or "Preview" or "Send" buttons. What I have to do is hold down my "Ctrl" key left click on the Upload Images to your reply" it will then send out a "window" where I can select my photos. Once I clicked on a chosen picture, I can let go of the control key awaiting for the file to upload. Then I repeat the process to upload multiple pics. Good lucks flowAjen.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

SO very glad it worked out for you, Kim/Lily_love.

Jen - last time I tried the CTRL, with all photos in one folder, it didn't work for me either.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Lily can you do it by highlighting more than one pic at a time? Or are you doing one photo at a time?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

luvsgrtdanes, I don't know if I can highlighting multiple pics. at once, for the reason is once I clicked on a photo -- the signal feed back I received was the percentage of THE pic. being loaded. So I pause, waited until the pic. is complete before I proceed to the next one. Unless someone else has other opinion to offer?

I just did a trial test, def. I have to wait until each photo is loaded before I proceed to the next one.....

Same here and we two are not the only ones.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Yes it seems there are quite a few of us! :-) I'm sure they will work it out.

Algonquin, IL(Zone 5a)

Me too! (Beautiful pics, Kim!)
