This has took over my garden! it has a white sap inside. The sap is sticky like tree sap. Please help!
Anyone know what this is?
I would try the Plant ID forum, someone there will know what it is.
Spotted Spurge. It takes hold and spreads rapidly, especially during periods of drought. A broad-leaf weed killer works, but be careful not to spray on nearby plants.
Don't know if it's 'spotted' spurge, as the pic isn't real clear, but it is a spurge, for sure. You probably will never notice flowers on it , but they're there, and spread seed everywhere. Spotted spurge is one of several spurges, and one of the more common ones. All noxious weeds!
Also be careful, the sap can burn your skin so make sure to wear gloves when handling.
Thank you soo much!
They start setting seed when they are very small, so pull them as soon as they come up. I hate these as well as the taller spurge. They like to come up in my salad beds and once they go to seed are a pain to eradicate.
