Black leaves on Viburnum nudum

Georgetown, MA

Recently all the leaves on several branches have turned black. The stem still appears to be alive and I can see no obvious sign of an insect infestation. There are still many branches that look fine. We live in northeast Massachusetts. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Can you post some pictures? Black often is a sign of some sort of fungal issue but hard to say without a picture.

I finally have some photos of the leaf problem I described. Hope this helps.
