Here is a picture of my hybrid carpet roses. I am not sure if that is black spot or something else. Can anyone tell what it is? Thank you kindly. I will be glad to answer any questions. I am new at this so you all help me so much. I can't thank you enough.
Whats wrong whith my Carpet Roses?
Roses lose a leaf once in a while, nothing to worry about. Looks like they may be really wet though. Probably not that way all the time, had it just rained?
I had just got done watering. I check the soil always before I water it. I have that Rose in very well drained soil. So it seems like it gets dry quicker than my other ones. So you do not think it's a disease?
My first thought when I looked at the leaves was that the symptoms could be from overwatering--how are you checking if the soil has dried out? If you're just looking at the surface that can be very deceiving since it can dry out quite quickly while an inch or two down it's still wet. So if you aren't already, I'd try checking down a few inches with a finger, wooden skewer, etc to see if it really needs to be watered.
