tomato disease, brown color stem of tomato, easily break.
i planted them without roof cover, here in germany. beside the tomatoes are alfafa which i used as ground cover to suppress weed. i am trying out use beneficial legume to battle weed and as supply of organic fertilizer or "N".

the is another tomato that i plant in big pot without the alfafa, the soil is bare as normal potted plant. it also has this problem. pls id it for me the disease name and way to fight it.. it is killing all my adult plant... (broken stem)

some local said that it is need to be under a roof, as the rain makes everything spoil. he also said 15km away, there is a big factory "BAYER" the factory that produces medicine such as aspirin....etc.. so he suspect the air is polluted and the rain coming down ruin the fragile tomato. btw, i am planting cherry tomato that i got seed from organic cherry tomato that i eat , which bought from supermarkt.

I'm jumping in o offer suggestions, I hope it's okay. I just found this forum.

I have read that tomato plants need to be free of debris and weeds around the roots of the plants. The alfalfa may need to be removed to allow air flow. Also, a few inches of mulch keep the weeds at bay, helps with moisture retention and prevents back splash on plant from rain which is another way for diseases to spread to plants. Have you noticed any small eggs on plant? Holes in the stalk? If it is some type of boring insect BT or Neem oil would help. Both are organic otherwise maybe a fungicide regimen may be helpful.
