I am a new gardener, first time this year. Lotsa work, lotsa fun. Now I am harvesting and I am about to burst my buttons with pride. These lovely vegetables actually grew for me! Pictured are zucchini, several kinds of squash, peppers, strawberries, tomatos, and eggs. I also have grapes, lemon cucumbers and broccoli coming along. This is amazing.
Linda
Look what I did : -))
Congratulations! They look lovely and I am sure they will taste even better. You should be proud. I have been gardening for several seasons and have yet to be able to make strawberries or eggs grow!
Here's wishing you many more successful harvests.
Congratulations!!! Good Job!!!
Belle
Looks wonderful! Congratulations!!
You grew Eggs??!!!
That, and your harvest is wonderful! And no "beginner's luck! You tell people you used exacting skills, worked with the environmental conditions relevant to your growing zone, exercised observational skills and used the most advanced systems of pest and disease control available to you!"
Cause you did!!!
Linda
oh Linda, that sounds even better than I thought.
What kind of hens do you raise? Don't let em in the garden til you are through with it, chuckl, the groceries look awesome!
Congratulations! Write down what you did, and repeat it next year.
I, too, would love to know how you grew your own eggs. ^_^
why, I grow eggs from EGG-PLANTS, of course.
Actually, I have three ducks (2 girls and a boy) and one hen. They all live peacefully together, but the chicken looks confused about the pond that the ducks love so much. The duck eggs are fertile, I borrowed and older broody chicken from a friend, and she hatched out 5 ducklings. It was so fun. But then a neighbors dog that lovely hen and I have not found a replacement.
Ahhh! Game hens love to sit, just wondered what laid the brown eggs, poor ducks, they need water to sit their toes in too, dog would have been shot as chickens will always die around it now, tsk tsk
Great Job! Your enthusiasm is contagious. Bee I do the same thing every year but it never works out right.
Linda, like Bee said write down when you planted out and such. No matter how much you think you will remember, chances are you wont.
Sounds like you caught the gardening bug. Congratulations
