Pretty bloom Tony, nice color.

Jackie your blooms look very nice. I'm sure the heat has something to do with them not blooming. Have you tried bloom booster. I've removed a lot of my infected leaves on DFNM and it's still hanging on making another bloom.

Norfolk, VA

Nice blooms everybody.

Helenah, I like that fushia color for a large-flowered, verigated cicada leaf phenotype;-)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

beUTIMUS oops beautiful.. there. LOL
I have lots of blooms now., some I have never seen before.. so many cool leaves here going on.
I too like the weird leaves. I love all the blues posted, but now I am going to love pink,,, for breats cancer awareness... my sisters cancer is back everywhere, she starts her chemo again next week, had to go to hospital to get the fluid drained off her lungs, one of the many tumors is in her plueral lining of her lung. Poor sister. I love her so much.
She is a fighter. The told her she would have to make many trips into the hospital for that and the chemo for the rest of her life. She told me the only thing is , how long is the rest of her life? Isn't she so funny under the influence of morphine? She is willing to do anything to gain more time with her 17 yr old daughter. Sorry to post this here..

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks Helena. I quit feeding for right now as my lvs are so sickly afraid the fert will kill the vines.
I do have about 15 that still look great. I must have sprayed those with Safer or used the systemic.

Debra, so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope that the chemo will be very effective and that
she starts to see some improvement.
Beautiful blooms, The pretty Tie Dye is my favorite but I love all your blooms.

(Zone 7a)

Debra, sending positive thoughts & prayers to your sister.

So amazing that your vines are producing as many lovely flowers as they are in spite of the heat & mites. I'll bet they'll take off again in September, once each day becomes shorter than the previous one and temps cool down.

If possible, it would be wonderful if y'all could post the names of which ones produce flowers best under these conditions.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful blooms Debra. My heart goes out to your sister and you. Sending positive thoughts and prayers too.

Sorry to hear about your Sister Debra. Sending lots of thoughts and prayers her ya!

Love all those blooms!

A lovely blue Saz in the rain this morning. We had storms going thru off and on all night,
just not enough rain to go with it.
Nice white Helena.
I had this strange looking white a week ago. Tag says Sunrise Mixed. The foliage and'blooms are small statured. Looks like the bloom is trying to split like a Hige and this is a nil not a purp.

Thanks Jackie. I like your pretty blue Saz, really nice color. Glad you had a little bit of rain. Hope you get a nice bloom from the white one.

Thanks Helena.

Nice pink blooms Tony.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I love white morning glorys of all kinds.. yours looks like one I have small, kinda of rambling, Helena?

Jackie, I sure like your Saz.. weird how sometimes they do not open all the way.. I had a whole row of blooms about to bloom and then the heat made them fall off!
I need some rain..
Tony, keep the pinks coming. All of a sudden I am partial to pinks..

Norfolk, VA

Here are more arangments from this morning. I'm so lost in photography suddenly;-)

Wow, those are beautiful! Is that one seed in each container?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

tony! quit picking the flowers! LOL

Gautier, MS

Thanks Debra, that bloom is an Ip nil but the bloom is rabler small.

Love all your blooms Tony, such pretty colors. I like your tub containers too, your plants look happy.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra. I used systemic on all my vines yesterday so tired of the bugs.
Took about 40 minutes to treat them and water it in good.
I love it that you like the pinks now, like me, lol
Just my same old blooms this morning. Glad to have anything open.

Yes, Linda, that is one seed in each container. I keep the vine pruned so they can branch out;-)

This is also one seed in the ground!

up close;-)

Wow, I did not know you could punch them to make them branch! Thanks for the advice, I will have to do that next year!
beautiful blooms!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Oh yes, I constantly prune and pinch on mine. It makes them branch and get fuller. It also makes them bloom more. Those are beautiful flowers Jackie. Pink has a new meaning for me now.

Thanks Helena. I've lost 3 more vines thanks to the systemic I used. Label said up to
2 tbs per gal size pot (that sounded like a little much) so I only used 1 teaspoon and the lvs all turned black after I watered it in.
What a horrible yr I'm having.

Gautier, MS

I'm sorry to hear about that Jackie. Hope your other vines keep going. I used safer soap spray on mine but really don't know if it does any good.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

i use windex mixed with dish soap and a little tea tree oil for my mites on everything. I had to cut off a lot of stuff damaged from those dang things.
Between the heat, lack of rain and the mites, my loaded tomatoes are loking like skeletons now, and I pick the leaves off as soon as I see the tale tale beginings on a leaf of mite infestation. all the trimmings go to the dumpster instead the the compost. last year it was mealey bugs. Year before it was aphids. *sigh*

Living walls around patio and some of the blooms coming on. Bamboo Poles and lions wool yarn make my walls solid and having the tall sunflowers really helps with instant shade during the hottest times.

A nice show of your garden and your beautiful blooms Debra. I'm with you on the bug*sigh*, doesn't seem to get much relief from them. But your plants look pretty nice inspite of them.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks Helena, can't wait to get my water bill, I only water the gardens and not the grass. Used to water at night, but got a lot of leaf mold and so now I get up early enough before work to water back and front. I use mosquitoe bits in my sprayer a long with some other stuff, miracle grow, safer soap, worm killer stuff, and epsom salts and mollasses. sometimes I add neem oil, but right now it makes burns spots if I use it. too hot for neem oil.
I use the Gardening to occupy my mind with all the problems eveyone seems to be having, it would make me crazy to not Garden a whole day once a week, but I really can;t wait to head out to the gardens every night after work.

Thanks Helena.
Debtra, I used your mix, oil, windex, dishwash soap but I didn't have the tea tree oil. I just waited too long to use it when the bugs were already just horrible.
Gorgeous blooms you're getting and your foliage looks great too.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Beautiful blooms, y'all! I've missed seeing them more than I could possibly express. Mine had a quick burst of flowering in the Spring, but have really taken a beating from thrips, mites & rust since the rains tapered off about 6 weeks ago. –Nick

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Glad to see you back Nick. The bugs have really taken a toll on my vines too.
I;'m sure lots of others would tell us the same thing since the drought is very wide spread.
A nice shower every now and then would have gone a long way in washing off the bugs

Gautier, MS

Gorgeous blooms Debra, I agree with Jackie too that your leaves do look great. Nice to see that you have so many blooming now.

Nice to see you back Nick.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

A lovely Candy Pink open this morning.

Edited to say just ignore the pots blown everywhere. Maybe I'll find a place to stack them this fall.
