rain, no thunder & lighning as yet. tornado watch over springfield area is down. Lots of tree damage in Glastonbury CT. Problem was the heavy damage prediction area was where they had tornados lost June. Not needed for those folks.

drove through a massive downpour this afternoon.. but I was dying in this humidity at work today.. wiped out tonight

Yes, Iris, lots of downed trees & power outages in central CT...cannot believe my county escaped, we usually get everything!

Tornado touched down on LI in Suffolk County.

I think that pirl is east of that county.
2" of rain early this evening & more at the moment. Very humid so uncomfortable even if temp is 73°. There was a worry earlier this afternoon as the storm seemed to be heading towards the sites of last year's tornado, but it turned into a rainstorm instead.

Yes, it weakened after it left CT....Cloudy & sticky here......

have had two days of sporatic heavy downpours here - it was pouring this morning and it gave me a chance to see if the downspout i buried into a trench and the rock wall i built up above the stream are doing the job of diverting rain from washing into the pond - happy to report my efforts worked.

now do i dare venture out for a hike - supposed to have more rain.
