I repotted my Ocimum Sanctum plants recently. I've noticed each morning that there are small crops of mushrooms growing. Yes, cute... outdoors... I've tried pulling them out gently, but they literally grow back within a day's time.
I think the spores were in the soil mix I purchased. Any solutions on how to stave the attack?
How to stop these mushrooms?
I wouldn't worry about the mushrooms in and of themselves--they won't hurt your plant. However...mushrooms tend to grow in conditions of higher moisture, and basil is going to want to be kept on the drier side, so the fact that the mushrooms are growing suggests to me that you may be keeping the basil too wet. If you let things dry out a bit, the mushrooms should stop coming up and your plant will be happier in the long run too.
Cool... dry out they will... I'm airing things out with open windows too... maybe that will help!
