Garden Gems 2012 #6
The gardens are lovely, Karen...your phlox looks better than mine!
wow, so happy to see everyone blooms!
That's a beauty!
Thanks, everyone!
Mittsy, that iris is gorgeous!
Caitlinsgarden, SVOG is done blooming now. It's an early midseason bloomer, 5" bloom, 24" diameter. It's not the best doer for me, maybe cause it's an evergreen and might like a better climate. It's slow to increase here, but it is hardy.
Karen
I was slacking taking the photos off the camera.. sorry guys.. overload today

Nice Allison...Worth the overload!

Those Butterfly bushes were perfectly named, wonderful photos.

great hummer shots allison - not an overload at all as you can scroll easily
Wonderful photos, Allison....the hummer shots are crazy good!
WICKED GOOD!! ^_^
thanks guys...
all are nice.. love the DL mixed in with the pholx RD
Love love love the hummer shots, never too many of those.
Well I think I'm going to imitate the phlox next to monarda idea. Some of my phlox needs to move and my Monarda looks lonely. Great visual suggestion.
The pics are all a pick me up. It' been a marathon here that is starting to settle down: annoying medical issues, covering for other peoples' vacations, wierd social issues in the Courts, getting 3 kids organized for college...barely any garden time here, but there's hope.
Wonderful shots, Allison, especially the hummers and butterflies. I love the hummers with the agastaches. Overload away!
Love your phlox and monarda, Marilyn, but all the pics are nice.
Rosemary, sounds like you've been crazy busy. Hope you get to do some gardening soon.
Here are more from my place. Swamp Yankee, Big Bird, NOID, Yazoo Jim Terry, All America Windmill.
Karen
tons of beauties there Karen.. and Jerry is always a cutie!
Robin your phlox & monarda are outstanding!
Great shots of your beds & Jerry, Karen. I really like Pajama Game, Linda's Magic and Pink Scenario.
caitlinsgarden~ sorry I didn't see your question before...that combo is I think....'Cheery Cheeks' and geranium 'Jolly Bee'
Queen Eleanore looks lovely, have to check it out.
Thanks..sounds like a busy summer, Rosemary......will calm down once the kids are away! Karen, some very pretty DLs there....I really like Linda's Magic....
I like the phlox and monarda mix too Marylin!
Love Queen Eleanor, my DIL's name. Ordered it from the daylily farm near us but they didn't have any left.
All are beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Love Lady Eleanor. Celeste you shared some for my DIL's best friend after her mother (named Eleanor of course) passed away a few years ago...do you remember? I was bold and asked you for some :)
I do now you jogged my memory! :)
Enjoyed seeing all these pretties!!!
My DH loves Morning Glories, so every year I plant them around the mailbox and tried some on trellises off the deck. They did nothing for so long, I thought the seeds were no good, so finally here's what we have. Heavenly Blue. They're so cheerful! Open pollinated Mailbox mix that started out with becky in Sebastian FL and ended up here in NY.
Two days ago the water lilies were spectacular, I've got to remember to take the camera across the street to the pond.
I love morning glories, & this year forgot to plant some!
I like the stripes!!!
