Well wishes P's for (((((((( Ray )))))))) ,
Hello ladies and the occasional fella:
Can't keep up with DG and school now and that crazy job. Hope you all forgive me for my transgressions.
It's too wet these past few weeks to get too much done in the jungle out there. Court called it a powerline easement which pleased me, but that's not really a style of gardening, is it? It's too small to be a meadow, but that's what it'd be if it were bigger. Not at all a cottage garden. Well it's a wildlife habitat. Guess that's all I can say.
About to get blooms on the crazy corkscrew vine finally. Sunset hibiscus has been lovely, as the red TX hibiscus is about to set buds. I am still planting seedings from February today. Ain't I crazy. Poor plants.
I figure I can expect annuals to bloom straight thru to November in certain full sun spots, so I'm concentrating my efforts there. Have a lot of deadheading and some weeding to do to keep down those grasses, but on sunny dry days, I'm generally pleased with the whole thing.
Faye and Ray - you are in my thoughts and prayers, of course. We will coordinate that visit soon, promise. Tell Ray I can be super quiet but make goofy faces at him across the room at the same time. He will hardly notice I'm there.
Hope things slow down enough soon for me to catch up with each of you.

Do they start easy from seeds? Would love to give them a try!
one pod will have at least 500 plus seeds, and I can dig out a rooted piece from the runners and send them to you when I send your morning glorys .
Sounds good! Wow, that is a lot of seeds!

Time for new pair of jammies?
Hello dear friends. so sorry I've been away for such a long time and so much has happened. Ray has had his 6th radiation treatment and so far he's is doing ok. Dr. said that each treatment now would have more effect on him. He is the best, never complains and always smiles. Now me on the other hand must sound like a chronic complainer to him. Between the two of us, we saw 8 Dr's last week. Fri, 8/24, I had surgery on 3 of my toes and the nail removed from the big toe on same foot. Here I go!! Ouchhhhhhhh. Then on Mon. 8/27, I had tear duct surgery for the 3rd time on both eyes. here I go again..Ouchhhhhhhhh! Now I tell you, we are in a pickle! I'm not supposed to put any weight on the left foot, face swollen till my wrinkles are gone and I'm supposed to be doing all these things that Ray thought he couldn't do. Bless his soul, he is doing so much that I wish he wasn't doing, but he is so happy to be able to "help me". Whining again! This morning @ 6, I was ready for Ray to take me to the emergency room. Have been hurting in my chest since Sun., and last night it was really bad. Turns out that I have Pleurisy, nothing to do with my heart.
Debra, I am so glad your Sister is doing well and especially glad she can keep her spirits up.
Hope each of you are well and happy.
When you don't see me here, know I'm still holding you all in my heart and prayers.
Hugs, Faye
Gosh! Cannot believe I would take these, let alone post such ugliness. LOL
Good God - poor kids. I sure hope you both get a break soon from your doctor visits.
xox
Me too!
Oh my gosh, Faye, you hardly look like yourself in the third photo. Heal soon, dear lady, and hope Ray will be giving you a pedicure soon.
Love to all.
Faye, you have both been through so much! Sending prayers your way for both of you! Now what was wrong with your toes? OUCH! That looks so painful! Please listen to the Dr. and do as your told!
oh poor Faye, I am so sorry to see you and Ray both suffring so.. know we love you both.
Sister is going to let me bring her here in a week or so, after dr tells her whether the chemo is working or not. She says it is, she feels itin her heart.. I hope it has shrunk the tumors all over her.. she has lost her hair again.. she doesn't care, she will do anything to live another year or two if she can.
Sending prayers for your sister too Debra!
Oh Faye, I had pleurisy when I was teenager and I remember how that hurt. Gotta take those deep breaths even when you don't want to. Yikes I wish I could help.
Faye now I would like rid of my wrinkles but girl that looks liike a tough way to go...LOL and not permanent to boot..... ;) Sending blessings your way, heavens you all have been through a lot. Bet he does feel good getting to help you, that always makes you feel good when you can help someone else.
Debra glad to hear you will be with you sister again. I have always thought since high school we should shave our heads and paint them to match our outfit... ;) Hair is way too over rated... ;) Sending blessings your way and your sis's way.
We got rain from the hurricane, not sure how much, it sure messed up alot of plans for the long weekend. Can't believe we have a drought and it pours the last long summer weekend....guess I should just be glad it rained. Hubby did go to Good Guys car show but very few people were there. He went on Friday and I went on Saturday with him. We have a huge craft fair called Santa Cali-Gon days in Independence and I finally got to go this morning. Didn't buy much to talked about but we ate alot of junk food...rofl and had fun with friends.
It is suppose to be back up in the 90's, heavens it will be hot and humid. Tomorrow is my day to do nothing but what I want I hope before going back to work. Course I guess today was my day since I played most of the day and then went to visit my sister. DH is taking me out to dinner and then I am going to just sit and read.
today it was 104 no rain.. oldest daughter and I went to Lake Afton, a nice state swim, boating park.. I caught my first perch there as did my sister when we were small. Karin and I floated around on a raft and snoozed to the sound of water lapping, kids laffing, boats buzzing. Then we ended the afternoon with some chinese food from a place I have been going to so long that the owner and I know each others childrens names now. LOL
Rose and Joanna are here with me watching horror movies, and I am cleaning, Joe is in Buffalo, so I am going fishing with my son at his place tommorrow ( 106) is predicted..starting out at 7 am I will be toast by 11 I am sure.. then there wil be looking at his stuff growing and you, pinching, pulling trimming etc.. Doing Laundry now, and watering with the laundry water is a chore, but it sure helps out with the bugs.. white knight brug is blooming stil downstairs, a single white from Tropicman, I was hoping for my first double.
Lost 8 brugs this year so far. Spider Mitie Fightie is still on here..
Anyway.. I love you all.. here is a butterfly chase I took yesterday after work. It hit everything it could find.. it was 102 out, monarchs were out everywhere too, especially the sunflowers.
Seems I do a lot of chasing these days/////
Goodness, you have been busy, and another busy day tomorrow! Love those butterflies! Sorry to hear you, lost some brugs. Spider mites have been bad this year all over!
Helloooooooooooooooo! Gosh it's good to be back here, lol and no whining, but I'd better type this fast before something else happens.
Thank you all for your good thoughts, prayers and for the cards. Can't tell you how good it feels to be cared about by you great friends.
Debra you always post such pretty blooms and I'm sorry you lost your Brugs. I will be glad to send you cuttings this Fall. I have never seen mine prettier. They all came back from last year and have doubled in size. Check these out.

Big Hugs to all
Faye

New room everyone!
Hi Linda, Ray has had his 10th Radiation treatment and still hurts all the time. My eyes are still watering even after the 3rd corrective procedure. Maybe not quite as bad. Now for my Martian Toes. I had 3 hammer toes that were curving under my big toe, and a very bad big toe nail. A portion of bone was cut from the 3 toes and a pin (looks like a nail) was inserted into each toe holding them in place to heal. The big toe nail was removed. I'm still having to keep the medical shoe on at all times (even to sleep) and not supposed to walk more than necessary and never putting my toes down.
Do hope you're having a great day, and really wish your day was being spent here with me.
