Help with new garden problem

I have a hicks yew in the garden that is turning brown on ones side. It gets plenty of water (drip water system). I'm not sure what or how to fix this is. Here are two pictures of what's going on:

I'm in zone 6a and it's July, hot summer and dry.

Ok. Is the irrigation system spritzing on those parts of those plants?
