I am thinking about next year's PIE..
Is it too late to plant strawberries?
My rhubarb might have died, one of the two crowns I planted shows no leaves at all- if it is dead, can I
get another in the Autumn? No one seems to be selling the live plants now in any form.
rhubarb and strawberry questions, one each
Not sure about the rhubarb, but I would think you could plant strawberries, depending on the variety. Just be sure to remove any flowers that may appear so the plants focus on root production.
thanks, Sam! I was hoping to plant the straws in a sack, with a column of fertilizer in the center, as in African sack gardening.
The rhubarb was valentine rhubarb, I bought two, one is showing leaves above the ground, the other might not really be dead, but it shows no leaves, Either way it has not been a total loss. I bought two to have enough stalks-I hope that in a few months I'll be able to get more.
cheers
Heather
