Coreopsis and lavender

I have some Jethro Tull Coreopsis and I was thinking about planting them with lavender. Is this a good pairing? Any suggestions as to a type of lavender would be helpful, I was leaning toward english lavendar munsted. I am open to better options, Thanks.

Purple and yellow look great together and both plants like the same conditions...go for it!
