I had some ranunculus flowers in pots this spring, but they are done flowering now and I'm changing out my containers. I'd like to keep the bulbs until next spring, but I've never done that. Can I just put them in some peat moss and store them in my basement? I've kept caladium and calla lilies over the winter, but have no experience with ranunculus. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!
How to keep ranunculus bulbs
Let plants dry out. Lift tubers, cut off tops, and store in a dry, cool place for planting next year.
Thanks for the advice. I have them drying a bit in the basement. Do I need to periodically moisten them, like geranium or dahlias - or just keep totally dry? I'm hoping I successful at least with a few.
