just moved into a house with numerous unidentified trees & bushes, 2 of which i've attached photos. They look like blueberry and gooseberry bushes but not 100% sure. I've googled these trees and the leaves on my fruit trees look slightly different to the images i've found of blueberry and gooseberry trees. Any information on these ? many thanks
what are these fruit and how do i care for them ?
The first two pictures look like Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium). They're natives of the Pacific Northwest of the USA. People sometimes use them for jam -- they are high in pectin. I rescued one that was dug up from my office's landscaping this year, but it's looking pretty grim.
Not sure about the second two pictures, but if not gooseberry at least is something in the Rubus family. Try the "Plant Identification" forum, they'll be able to point you in the right direction.
