raised garden bed

Staten Island, NY(Zone 6a)

I ordered a raised garden bed and the company advised me to purchase a liner. I put the bed on my lawn and made layers of cardboard and newspaper first , then i put down the liner and added the mixture of humus compost manure, peat moss, garden soil and home made compost .Would it be ok for planting vegetables.

should i take out the liner from the raised garden bed on the lawn?

Why the liner? What is the bed material made out of? Wood? What kind and is it treated wood?

its made out of a type of compressed wood it was advertised as forever raised garden bed

I looked up your "forever raised garden bed" online and I don't quite get the need for the liner either.
is it a solid plaster liner or some kind of weedblock material? If water can escape and it will eventually decompose I'd just leave it. The biggest problem with a liner would be if it held in water, or kept roots from going deeper than the bed wall.

thank you Domehomedee, I did get an answer from the company that I bought it from, and was advised to keep the liner in the bed. My tomatoes and lettuce are growing nicely
