Banana tree in northeast

I am so excited I bought two banana plants and was curious how fast they really grow? I am looking forward to watching them as well as my kids! Any suggestions please

A couple of months ago we were given a small banana plant and at the time I wondered how it would do in a Michigan Home. To my surprise it is flourishing and has added about five new leaves in that short time. For the first couple of weeks it sat in a West facing window. Now it is in an East facing window and in both locations it is doing great.

This summer it will be outside until it gets to cool again in the fall.

Make sure when they begin to set flowers to place a mat under them. They can drip and get really messy! I did not realize this and they stained my deck!
