My peppers are starting to come in and I've noticed on a couple [from different plants] a brown, soft spot... sort of like a 'bruise' if-you-will.
If it happens again I'll take a picture and post.. but just wondering if anyone has encountered this with their peppers. --??--
Many thanks,
Jann
Brown spots on young, green bell peppers ?
Jann,
Are the peppers that have the spots in the sun, or shaded by leaves? Sometimes peppers will get sunburn or sunscald. There's not much you can do for it, but it doesn't affect the overall health of your plant. The pepper itself is still okay, just cut the scalded part out when you use it.
David
Yes David... they were probably shaded somewhat by the leaves. I did just cut out the bad spot.... they tasted just fine.
