bugs that look like tiny pieces of lint, until they fly away?

Thomson, GA(Zone 8a)

I was checking my plants and my easter cactus had what looked like little pieces of lint or i thought maybe someone had been smoking around it and it had ashes on it.I picked up the plant to wipe the tips of it and the (lint, ashes) flew away.I haven't been able to get a picture yet but will post one as soon as i get one!

They have maybe 2 (if more not many) black dots that i think is the front of them maybe eyes or something. They are completely white besides the black spots on one end of them. They look like lint,i have noticed them flying around & again they look like something floating in the air.

If anyone knows what these bugs are or if they are a problem bug or not please share any info so i can look them up or let me know if i need to get rid of them or not.

Thank you

Does anyone now how to treat cutter bees. My bougainvillea looks horrible because the bees have cut circles in every flower that has sprouted and all they leave behind is a piece of the flower that was left over.. The bougainvillea was my prize position. I've loved it and cared for it for 5 yrs and now it looks like crap. Help!!!
Thanks for any suggestion you can give. I'll try and send pics tomorrow.

First--you might consider starting your own thread since your problem is very different than the one that jojoe originally posted about. More people will see your question if it has its own thread. That being said...leafcutter bees are considered beneficial, and although you might not like the look of the leaves with holes in them, they don't actually harm the plant. They're also active only for a brief period of time during the year while they're building their nests, so I would just leave things alone. The bees will be done soon and your bougainvillea should put out new growth and be just fine.

Getting pictures of insects is not an easy task for me,my MS makes my hands shake and even the anti-shake
option on my camera can't keep up with my twisted hands.

I got lucky 2 days ago and got pictures of a few bugs that i've seen on my plants. You have to click the picture and BLOW it up to kind of see them.

My azalea's are infested with a bug that i got 1 picture of but it's not good,i did get pic's of what is left behind on my plants.
there is a tiny bug in this one,it's in the middle of the webing.

The last picture is of an azalea,i lifted a stem and the under side of the leaves had tons of these little bugs that has silver almost looked like triangles down their back and some even hopped on me and the plants also have the webbing.

Sorry for the over load but i put my house plants outside and now it seems nature has went into attack mode
PLEASE ANY HELP OR EVEN GOOD SITES to ID these creatures would be greatly appreciated.
The stuff i use on my house plants is mostly neem oil & i have put some plants into hiding in the house trying not to spread them.I'm loosing the battle LOL

Picture 1 maybe a mealybug but hard to tell for sure. Picture #2 is an aphid. Picture 5 looks like spider mite damage (look for little tiny brownish red dots on backs of leaves) although there are probably other insects that would do similar damage.

Does anyone know what leaves behind what's in picture 3 or is it bugs, eggs? The white stuff is in a web on the leaf. The bug in 4th picture is on a jade plant leaf is this just a outside bug that landed their?

ecrane3, thanks for your help!!! in picture 2 you are talking about the small bug under the funny looking grass hopper (I think) right?

everyone have a wonderful weekend!!!

P.S.
i am going to be trying to find something that kills a lot of different bugs, seems i have a army after my plants!!!

Jojoe, Two clues to some of your bugs: float about like ashes. leave residue behind, hop. I've been plagued by such a bug for several years now and the closest I have come to id is flatid leaf or planthopper. Picture below is of the nympth stage which resembles your pictures 1, 2, and 4 being closer to adult form. Mine morph into pale luna moth green fliers.

This link tells about the flatids and also about the azalea lace wing which may be pics 3 and 5.
