I moved into my house last year and the previous owner has planted both english ivy and lily of the valley everywhere. It's so invasive and I would love help figuring out how to get rid of this stuff. Everything I've read suggests that it's an impossible task. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Ivy and lily-of-the valley everywhere!
I see no one answered you. I like Lily of the Valley but I know it spreads. What I've done with any plant that is very persistent in growing is to out persistent it. In the areas you want to get rid of it I'd carefully put up as much as I could find and then mulch over it with cardboard covered with something that didn't look too bad. By carefully I mean I would start at a leaf and follow the stem it is growing from back as far as practicable. You could also try something like Round Up. Be careful with round up as it will kill everything.
