Indoor herb suggestions..

Hi there! I am currently planning on having herb houseplants. I am really excited about it. The thing is I really can't decide what is the best herb for a newbie herb grower like me. I wanted to create a soothing and fragrant ambiance in my home. What do you suggest?

Advice are welcome..

It's also good to keep in the back of your mind that most herbs love the outdoors and sunshine and often rebel at indoor conditions, which they find stressful. It's important not to add to the mix the stress of a compromised root system due to poor soil choice, which is why I left the link. Understanding how your soil works is probably the biggest step forward you can make at any one time as a container gardener.

Al, thanks a lot for the link.. I am reading it now and I am learning a lot. I guess I'll reconsider of having herb houseplants. Maybe I should learn more on about the soil choice before pushing through my plans. I am also thinking some way to lessen the stress of my herbs indoors if I push through it. Thanks a lot!
