A few from today.
JM Kamagata.
Garden Gems - April 2012, Part 2
How big does Koto no ito? and can it go in shade?
Supposedly about 8 ft or so. Most shade is fine but a bit of sun is always good for most JM's. This one requires more shade due to its fine foliage. I have two and they only get AM sun.
great colors kids!!!.. loved all the shots!!!
just realized the self seeded maple that was between my neighbor and my property.. the top is completely dead .. the bottom is leafed out.. she asked if Randy could hack it down for her
:(
nice victor - i have a kamagata coming this spring
It's really a nice little one for the spring. No fall color to speak of. Have mine about five years and it's still under two feet. I may move mine to 'tuck it in' somewhere. It's too open now and in the deer lane.
Bill, Jo isn't the only one who wants to get more jm's after seeing your pics. Gorgeous! I especially love Koto Maru and Orange Dream and corallinum.
Victor, I love that Kamagata. Stunning! You're right, Koto No Ito looks like Fairy Hair.
Love your hot pink tulips, Jen!
My redbuds are just getting started here. PJM's are blooming. Quince is going strong. Will take some pics this weekend.

Beautiful JM's Victor.
are red bud branches strong.. to hold lights??.. and which is the best for spring & fall color?
allison rb's really have no fall color only the spring bloom and the heart shaped leaf which is nice. branches are more than strong enough for lights
I have a tall bearded iris budded.....just crazy, as even the small ones aren't budded yet.....
Strange!
Victor those tree's are indeed GEMS!

She looks like you!
Sideways grower?? ^_^
I don't know why it is sideways, cuz when you click on it, it is correct but squished. I took this with the iPad and used icab to post it. Any suggestions? You already know I'm not real good at this. ;)
She is soooo funny! We made an apple pie this morning then I took her to Shop-rite. She helped pop-pop, who was home today from school, put up the tent that her brother will sleep in tonight and played in it til it got too hot. just took her home.
Victor, our JM Omure yama was planted by the former owner, so we've had it at least 7 years. It grows no higher than 3 feet and never drops seed to provide new children, so I'm guessing it is a sterile graft? Our red JM grows no higher than 8 feet, while our green JM is about 25 feet high. They all add grace and beauty to a yard with several flowering beds. Not too much style, but they are all loved.
Jan, a cutie pie grandie....I saw mine today, all needed hugs...darn! Victor, love the combo of JM & pine, & clem growing through the shrub.....
Doncha just hate it when they NEED hugs? I know I hate giving them out. Heehee. They are the bestest thing!!!
Cannot remember if I have seen seeds on it, Cathy. Will try to remember. Gets great fall color!
Forgot to say that the clem is growing through a viburnum nudum.
nice shots victor - i guess i better break out the macro lens :)
