Has anyone else done this? Are they true bush beans or do they need a little support, and how many can you grow per square foot? I know that typically, you can plant 9 bush beans per SF, but the plant spacing on the package says "6 in." so that would only be about 4 per SF?

The following link on Dave's Garden may help you decide how many to plant per sqf:

Thank you. I read the PlantFile previously and saw where it stated 3"-6" apart.. so am still not clear. I suppose just to be on the safe side, I will plant only 4 beans per SF. But still not sure if I should add supports? Maybe just in case?
Cue_chik,
I grew dragons tongue beans last year. Four inch spacing would be fine in a self-watering container. They are true bush plants and don't need any support.
David
Thanks! I'm gonna give it a shot then!
