Weather In Your Garden # 115
It's sunny and 79 now.
81 & sunny Checked which dwarf irises were blooming this morning but too hot now. think that we heard a chipping sparrow, DH has seen them around.
Gorgeous day. Had big plans for the garden but have huge blisters on both heels from a walk yesterday with new shoes. Ugh!
At the day high of 77, with a nice breeze and 24% H.
UGH is right!! Did that soon after we were married. We were in Maine and I only got part way up Katahdin. Jeff probably thought, 'what have I gotten myself in to?'.
Gorgeous day!!!
Iris, chipping sparrows have been in CT for a few weeks, so you probably did hear one! I wear old sneakers when I hike....was watching for snakes today....
So nice just to run local errands with so much in bloom and the great weather. Wish it could be like this all year.
Agreed
Ditto ^_^

I agree too!!... went to sleep with light clothes on.. didn't want to get out of bed with the windows open.. LOL
50 now going to 65
Went to sleep w/the windows open here too but it was only 39 last night. BURR! High of 65 for today.

What a difference!!! cloudy and chilly this morning, had to put a jacket on
53° right now
Had to put the heat on last night....53 here at the moment, partly sunny...
actually had a shower here while I was having lunch with my step mil, came back and the ground was wet(not showing anything measurable though)
60 and sunny. Rode Alice(the horse) today.
rain predicted for Sun.
Hi folks some further south & west of me in zone 4; all the above weather reports same here, especially weeks of RED FLAGS in regard to fire danger. Home garden: Ajuga has for yrs. by both stolen & seed ruining our lawn; hubby more upset than usual, so laid down swathes of black plastic/garden stapled on worst places for a few wks. & see what happens. Late spring & summer mowed, it doesn't bloom & stays short, but these huge inky-colored blotches everywhere are pretty ugly. (As is the black plastic! Neighbors probably wonder what this crazy ole' lady is up to now?)
Also began digging up just plain dusty-dirt, never amended, next to a low curving half stone wall/half shade & sun where lawn doesn't do well by our garage ..... packed them into 12 six in. pots & brought into house to warm the soil for a couple of days. Tonite, carefully clipping the edge of each bright red nastursiam seed, dropped 12 seeds, covered & watered well. They'll be in or out depending on temps. until ready to put at least 8 around said stonewall (w/white allysum in front) & the last 4 to our summer camp for window boxes or whatever.
Lastly, not quite daring to remove all my fall chopped Maple leaves from beds, I Walmart bought fairly cheap soaker hoses for around most of front yard water needy plants & have let them run for a couple of early a.m. hrs. every few days. (Waterbill is getting atrocious, as I'm crazy w/wide-open hose & only home one day a week from camp after the middle of June.)
Desperately hope we don't have a summer like the severe drought here in 1991 & 93 when I was still strong enough to yank a 100 ft. real rubber hose all over 2 acres of veggie gardens, fruit trees & perennial gardens, all spreading around a large flat parking lot, but up or down hill from there!!
Later folks ..... (Thank heavens I only go here once every couple of weeks & give everyone's eyes a rest!)
hey there VT.. I have patches of ajuga that we can't get rid of either.. but it's in a spot the grass doesn't grow well either.. looking like we are getting rain on sat night.. 48 now going to 72
It's 32 now, high of 65 today and sunny.
Well, since it came out upside down- lol - it's not as obvious as I thought. Rainy and 57 on I-95.
Good morning, everyone.
Bright, sunny and 46 degrees in WNY heading for the upper 60's today. Very nice.
Have a blessed and thankful Thursday, friends. ☺
Safe traveling. Sometimes I prefer to drive on cloudy but not rainy days instead of bright sun. Less stress on my eyes.
Sunny here going up to 71
50 & sunny
Bring the clouds, it's ok, we need the rain
53° right now overnight we got a little rain .02" need a good soaking though
I agree, Jan! I prefer a cloudy day too.
Jen, I'll do my best to grab onto a few clouds and bring them with us.
Another sunny, warm day....should be in the low 70s......I keep telling my plants to hold on for a few more days when they will get rain.....
It says 8 but we have a sea breeze so it doesn't feel like it. Predict rain on Sun. OH I HOPE SO.
8????!!!!!! wow it's cold there in MA
It hit 64 , perfectly sunny day......however the bugs have arrived. :(
I've never seen the sky bluer.....just an awesome day....but we need rain!
Just said on the news Maine will get the rain Sat. night, Sunday and a good drenching on Monday.
The set the forms today, pouring the foundation tomorrow!!!!
It will help the cement cure......I think. Backing off on the amount here....not sure how far east the storm will track.....
I think it does.. good luck with it Celeste!!!... 44 now going to 73
It's 41 now, high of 72 today.
I can see the trucks down in the back-forty getting ready to pour the foundation...im giddy today. ^_^
Pics of you doing the giddy dance. So excited for you.
In the 40s, heading to low 70s......must get my grandie, Grant a birthday present today...truck, of course.....
