Is the Orange Bulbine deer proof? I live in Austin, Texas.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Nothing is deer proof. Unfortunately I don't believe bulbine is even listed as deer-resistant, so if that's something that's important to you I'd look for another plant. But if you really want it there's no harm in trying and seeing what happens--if there are other things around that they like better maybe they'd leave it alone.

Like Ecrane I also know of any plant that is positively deer proof, I have deer marauding through my place and what I was told by a professional is, grow anything that has thorns as the deer don't like that, well I have photographs to prove that deer love Roses, they love back berries, goose berries and any other type of fruit with thorny stems, the only thing I grow and love that the deer leave well alone is Rhododendrons, my Azalea's get eaten and so does the very small species of Rhododendrons, there are a few trees like my Tulip tree etc that are left alone but, is that because they are too tall now or they don't like the leaves.
I would love to have a true list of deer proof plants shrubs and tree's, so I could try grow them and stick my thumb to my nose when the deer pass through.
Good luck, hope you have better luck than most other gardeners. WeeNel.

according to this link Bulbine is a frequently damaged eaten plant in Florida....and probably would be likewise in Georgia and surrounding areas.
