what is your climber in the arbor?
bellissima!
April 2012 blooms
I can only load 3 at a time as well.
I reported it in the DG forum, but got no response other than, "Oh maybe your pics are too big."
Stephanie, I can only get one load, even when try to load two. It's driving me crazy.
Drthor, that is Bantry Bay, an own root climbing floribunda from Vintage Gardens. When I put them in I could only find poor reviews of it from growers up north. I took a chance anyway and its done very well here in the south.
Once last pic, of an unknown rose.
Yes! F.S. is great in our zone.
Lynea, your garden looks great. The pics are fine when enlarged.
Cheryl, that is cute! I bet you never walk barefoot!
They are all in raised beds so there is no real problem with them.
lulu - your flowers are beautiful. And I know what you mean about loading pics. It won't even take 2 for me. I am using Firefox as a browser instead of Explorer so maybe that is it. I contacted them too.....they said maybe the file was too big. And your arbor is awesome!!
drthor - that wood on your clematis looks very hefty.......must take something strong to hold them.
drthor,
The gloriosa lily does get 'slightly' invasive but I don't mind; I've found babies a few feet from mom. The blooms are so lovely and they last quite a long time.
I know you are usually showing us your beautiful clematis' drthor, but that is a columbine...LOL! Pretty one too!
Ooh you are right ... I'm fixing it !
I love everyone's beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing!
drthor - what are you feeding your garden?? It's just stunning!
Thanks
The back yard ... I don't do anything ... Apart from the water full of tortoises poop that my husband makes while soaking his pets ... Seriously !
... I do throw my coffee grounds in the garden ...
I think I have so many plants that there is always something in bloom.
My garden has been certified for "natural wildlife habitat" and I am sure that all of those insects do their business on my soil ... since i don't use ANYTHING to kill them (apart for rat bate boxes ... yuk)
I don't believe in using store bought "mulch"... because there is a all industry that is based on cutting down trees to make wood chips !!
I leave the leaves in the ground in the fall, instead to bag them up and I use a "living mulch" = all of those flowers will shade the soil, keep it cool and no sunlight for the weeds.
I am no expert ... but you can see that this is working for me ... even now that we are in water restrictions ... we can water only once a week.

Good job!
Didn't you just get a bunch of rain?
yes ... rain barrels are full !
Still surprising we are in water restriction stage 3!
The water restrictions are due to the mussels in Lake Texoma (or wherever the DFW area gets its water).
Mussels?
What do you mean?
zebra mussels, an invasive species that is causing problems with clogged pipes etc in the artificial water sources we use for drinking.
stephanie - your Yarrow is blooming? Wow.....ours don't have any buds yet. I'm envious! Love the Phlox.....It's on my list of things to plant....it's perennial right?
It spreads a lot. I pull it out by the bag full.

Stephanie, your flowers are lovely. I'm impressed that they're all up and blooming already. My coneflowers are just starting to put on heavy growth, but no stems as yet.
Carla
Yes, the yarrow is blooming. My white yarrow isn't blooming yet, but it is putting out buds. I moved it and thinned it out a few weeks ago, so I'm very happy the buds are setting.
I really love the phlox pilosa. The more you have, the more fragrant it is, but it is quite invasive. It pulls out very easily though, so I don't mind it. The phlox is a perennial. If you get some very cold weather, it gets pretty ugly looking, but it comes back nice and green.
Steph - did you plant the phlox from seed? I LOVE it....and it's the perfect color as well.
Morgan, the phlox I got as a start from someone at a RU. Are you coming to the RU in Burleson? If so, I can bring you some.
