Please help with planting these

Plymouth, PA(Zone 5b)

Hello I received the following plants today. I am guessing since I live in zone 5b-6a most of these will be container plants that will live indoors during the winter. Anyone have any advice on planting these:

Crocosmia Dwarf
Crocosmia "Lucifer"
Alternanthera Amoena
Dichorisanda Thyrsiflora
Kalanchoe "Tesse"
Murraya Paniculata
Plumbago Capensis

Thanks
Tamlamb

Tam:
I'm in zone 5-6 I just planted a Plumbago today in my garden.
I'm going to mulch it real heavy but I think it will be ok.

If ya'll get a Plumbago capensis to survive Zone 5 or 6, let me know. I've never heard of them being hardy past Zone 8b. I want a report next spring, because if they live, I'll be looking for one for my garden (I'm Zone 6b), and I've shied away from them because I don't have a good place to protect them. Good luck!

I've just purchased Plumbago after borrowing a clipping from the nursery. I cut it back to root several more. I am going to keep them in the house till spring so if yours does survive please please let me know as well. It will save me from bring 4 of them in next fall.

Kalanchoe, below zone 7, is difinitely a houseplant. But, be prepared, it can get quite large.

Plumbago is lucky to make it in zone 8 even, So far I have been lucky and mine has returned, but this year it took it a lot longer than usual..We had some cold here for the 1st time in awhile and I was beginning to think I had lost it.

Ah ha! Yep, Paul - I have Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, too - it isn't called "Hardy Plumbago" for nuthin' :0) it should be fine, although it seems to take a while in teh spring to come back.

Plumbago capensis on the other hand... tamlamb, if you decide to leave it outside, please let us know how it does!

HI Go
I wasnt planning on leaving it outside as I didnt think it would survive. I was just wondering if there is any special instructions for caring or planting it.
thanks

Rather a nice collection going there, tamlamb! You may lose your newbie status at this rate. I have experience only with kalanchoe which roots very easily from cuttings inserted into good potting soil (half peat, half perlite). Even a leaf thrown on top of the soil roots for me. I have a nice one which was a gift plant, put it outside every year where it gets HUGE, so I take cuttings each fall. I can see we are going to have to do some serious trading in the spring! John
