New room everyone!
Spring is on the 20th, it will be here soon!
She's about to... 65... Spring will be here soon!!!
And so will your Grandson, LK.
What a beautiful hummer.
Thanks LK. :)
How's your hand with the latest cut, Manda?
It's healing very well and very quickly. I decided to keep it covered completely against everybody's advice, and we are amazed at how healthy it looks. :)
Thanks for asking. It's all I can do to keep myself from using it. It's much worse than tearing tendons in your wrist!
gorgeous hummer pic. Hope susie recovers at home 100 percent, I know those injections ARE NOT FUN. ( Joe had to get them a few years ago)
Amanda, I must have missed how you hurt your hand the last time, sorry, but hope it mends asap. I need to see your Gardening Pics as a Lift me up.
LK, the last time I had a baby that HAD to be induced, she weighed 10lbs. 6 oz's. All the while we were being told she was gonna be a little 7 lb baby, LOL ( she is a tall beautiful 30 yr old now) I can't wait to see a pic of you holding your gbaby.
Fruity, Mooonlight is gonna bloom this year I think, it is sending up a stalk !
And I thought my babies at 9.4, and 9.14 were big!
Well, if she does not deliver by Monday, she has an appointment to be induces first thing Monday morning.
LK, I think that sometimes our babies like it better within the confines of Momma instead of going out into a bright cold new world..
I am beginning to think that too! But we now know we have less than one week to go! 6 days and counting...
We should have an exciting countdown time for her..
count down each day with a spring flower bloom pic or something..
Debra - boring, was sweeping goat turds but furiously because Court was waiting in the car for me so we could drive to our family burial ground with Mom's cat.
Anywho - the broom had a metal handle and broke in my hands. The round open pipe drove into the heel of my right hand and caused some lifeblood to flow freely. It's amazing how beautiful it looks though. I'd gone against everybody's advice and kept it completely covered/sealed since then to encourage healing and perhaps regrowth/connection of that tissue. So glad!
Will be good as new shortly. I have sprouts and can take photos. I've been a little muddy in my thinking these last few days - maybe the time change? Just have some paperwork and other things crowding out my sole focus on my wintersowing.
Hope you are all enjoying this lovely day. It's 69 degrees here and supposed to reach 77 by the end of the afternoon.

oh dear Amanda, I could picture it as you told it.. not boring! Gee goat turds make great fertilizer.. I am home sick with pleurisy and onset of pnuemonia, but after a shot at dr and some meds, already can feel it working, but he insisted I stay home because he said I was contagious? The only contagion I feel is Spring Fevor, but I am so cold and shivering I can't stay out in the back patio for more than a minute and that is with my snuggly thing Joanna got me. Well, back to bed for a while, can feel the cough starting again and my back and sides hurt.
No sympathy for me, I smoke and he says it doesn't help. COPD is a bugger. So if you smoke, quit now!
Debra, sorry to hear your not feeling well! Get some rest, and hope your doing better soon!
Amanda, glad to hear the hand is healing well.
I like the idea of a flower a day!
Well since you smoke I don't feel sorry for you one whit. BUT I would post pictures for you of my seedlings if the batteries worked in my dang camera. :/
Court has appropriated all of them for his gadgets and finally after so many years even the rechargeable batteries lose their charge. Like us I guess.
Tomorrow will include a trip for my bucket of old batteries to the hazardous waste place the city maintains. I've got myself thru that slump I was in this morning and my "To Do" list is growing ever longer. YARGH!
Got to get out some summer job applications though. I can't go back to my old plant job, but hopefully this will force me to find something closer in line with my master's degree work which may also be motivational. :D
One can always hope!
Feel better and fer God's sake - take care of yourself! No one else will. Unless you're lucky like me (and I am) and have a guy like Court around who even bought baby wipes to clean my hand(s) for me since I can't wash/wet the bandages on my bum hand. I don't know what I did to deserve him. Guess I'll have to think of way to repay him . . . maybe I'll grow him some flowers. :D

p.s. computer locked up so I went about my chores - and I have more sprouts outside!!! :D
Good morning everyone, and a good morning it is for me. Ray is home! Got home about 6 last night. he is still not well, having to have antibiotics injected every 12 hrs. for the next 5 days. Waiting now for the Home Health Nurse to come. Ray still has the tube in his kidney but it is shut off and will be taken out next week unless the kidney blocks again. I'm so far behind in everything. Did change the bed sheets this morning and have them in the wash. So much to do outside, even need to cut grass. Gosh I know I'm running off at the mouth but have to do this fast and get off here so I can get something done. I think the dust in here is almost ..well it's a lot and I have to get rid of it, then feed Ray and the boys before I can go outside to work. Hope you all are well, and stay well.
Thank you Nita for the cards..we love them.
Love & Hugs
Faye
Glad Ray and you are home, Faye. Don't over do it yourself, OK?
Glad to hear your all home! Sending lots of healing prayers for Ray! You get some rest, that dust can wait..
So glad Ray's home. And I know you're glad to be back in your own bed too. You both take care.
Darn Faye I need to be closer. I don't feel like working here, so maybe I'll have to start doing road trips!
Heather called me last night, and told me she was called and was told to be to the hospital Sunday night at 6:30, as they are going to admit her, giver her something to soften/thin her uterus, then if she has not delivered by Monday, they will giver her a spinal, and induce her. So I will leave here at noon Sunday, and as soon as I see Dylan, and can get to a computer, I promise you will have pictures! 4 days or less I hope!
Gosh a new baby! How exciting! I know I'm not the only one waiting for pictures. I pray both Mom and Baby will be well.
Mandy, gosh what a time to mess up your hand..you know "my" weeds could use both your hands. Well some people will do anything to keep from pulling the meanies. Do hope that hand will be as good as new soon...way before June.
YEA! Nita, come on now. A road trip will do you (especially me) good. And if possible pick up any hitch hiker from here who will come with you. I can name several who I would totally love seeing here, and yeah, it's about time I met you LK. Nita, I know how you can get a car loaded for your trip here..go to the top of this page and collect everyone who has posted..LOL my imagination is so overactive right now, I'm loving it.
Debra, hope you are feeling better and breathing easier, want you on the road trip bus.
Dust is still deep but I did get some much needed yard work done. I think my mind needed outside as much as the work needed doing.
Ray has had a fairly good day. He still has Gout in both feet but his back doesn't hurt and his kidney is working..Praise God. It is so good having him home with me. Ray has a PICC Line and I'm having to administer his antibiotics every 12 hrs. I thought the Home Health Nurse was going to be doing it, but she laughed and said she was just the teacher, the job was all mine.
Love & Hugs to all
Faye
Glad to hear Ray had a good day Faye. Nothing like getting outside and getting your hands dirty.
Had another good day doing much needed yard work. Feels like the faster I work, the be-hinder I get..just this old age thing I have going on.. Old as dirt and still like playing/working in it.
Hope you all have had a blessed day.
Hugs
You work rings around me, Faye. I'm glad you got out there. I did too and think the Winter weeds are winning. I don't remember when they've been this bad this early.
Two or three days to go, LK. You must be on pins and needles!
Hug ya'll
Just wanted to let you all know that our Karoosh, Siberian husky went over that rainbo bridge this afternoon. He was 15 years old! He will be missed!
My heart breaks for you, LK. Our pets play such a vital role in our lives. I hope Karoosh went in peace and he wasn't in pain.
Thanks Fruity! He went very peacefully!
LK, I am sorry for your loss. I know I still miss my Duke Dog, but I have pictures of him everywhere. We lost the old yellow lab dog next door ( cooter) he just up and died, the kids said ( next door) I knew he wasn't feeling well cuz he would not come to me for his over the fence love and treats. \ Dottie, the year old black lab will miss him I am sure, she still greets me for her love and treats. Mia the Siamese cat was hit by a car, I will miss her, she was a good neighborhood cat and a great mouser. We didn't have any mice while she was around the neighborhood. Oh well, I still have college girls goldfish, they are getting huge.
So glad you feel like playing outside Faye, I know you are a good caregiver and a great wife, hope to meet you two some day.
I am so excited for you to have that grandbaby, LK!
Neener, Mr pyewackit is adorable. I looked at a card you sent me a long time ago, and set it up while I was sick last week. It made me smile.
Oh dear I am horrible with letters and cards, but I do think of everyone all the time.
Amanda, I thought of you when there was an opening at work, wish you were closer, you would love working where I work at.
I thought about that little stinker yesterday, Neener. Well guess what? Round-Up had 4 kitties sometime Friday night, could well have been wee hours of the 17th. Two are solid black and two are black & white. Kitties appear healthy and she is being a very good mom. Can't type or see worth a crap using hubby's laptop. My PC has officially gone to tech heaven. I've taken pics of the kits and will show them off either when I figure out how on this little machine or buy a new computer.
Today's the day, LK?
Love & hugs, ya'll.
We are at the hospital now, they just gave her meds, to thin her uterus, so if. Ot tonight, her labor wil be induced in the morning. I can't post pictures from my iPad, so when Dylan arrives my son will post pictures on my Facebook page.
Since I'm not on FB, I'll have to wait til you're home to see pics, LK. You have to be on pins and needles waiting and I'm so glad you're at the hospital for support. I'm so happy for you and your family :)
Checking in quickly from my iPad, still no Dylan! They are starting the pytocin to induce her.
LK, good luck today and give that Dylan a kiss from all of us. I will be thinking of you and yours while I am at work today.
Thanks Debra, he will get so many hugs and kisses.
Dr. just broke her water, and said Dylan should be here sometime this afternoon..... Looks like it gonna be a long day!
Now THAT'S a big boy. 10 pounds of pure sugar! What a thrill for you and your family welcoming a new Grand, LK! Hope Heather's doing alright.
AWWWWW Congrats LK! Awwww what an adorable baby!
Hi ladies.. thanks Kris for posting that pic.
Dylan Marley is certainly the talk of DG !!
Here's another one of Dylan, and this is what LK wrote.
"He has a big bruise on his forehead, from delivery, he has a big head, and Dr. said it is normal sometimes for them to be bruised. Probably from her pelvis that did not want to spread. Everyone is doing fine, he is a very quiet baby so far."
This family's been mighty blessed!!!
Sheeesh!
If I ever thought about having kids, a 10 pounder might make me change my mind again. :D
Congrats LK, and condolences both.
Hope all's well - been busy here. Don't ask me what I've been doing, 'cause I can't hardly remember from day to day. Court told me I should start journaling. I AM journaling. Right here on DG! :D
But my DG blog is probably not the place for the 'dear diary' stuff.
Debra - thanks for thinking of me. That is sweet.
The lady for my auto loan kept saying after we talked, "is there anything else I can do for you today?" I said, "are you hiring?"
Geez. Truth be told, I've not been trying that hard lately. I guess it's an endurance race, but I've been doing sprints.
Later.
A.
